The Warsaw volleyball team just kept rolling Monday night at home against Penn.Sweeping the Penn Lady Kingsmen (25-23, 25-17, 25-23), the Warsaw Lady Tigers improved to 25-4 on the year and are 17-1 since Sept. 4, going 10-0 in best-of-five matches.

Young Whitko Team Hopes To Prove Itself In 2017 Season

The Whitko High School football team features plenty of youth. Second-year coach Jeff Sprunger says that’s both good and bad. “Our strength, but also our Achilles’ heel, this year is our youth,” said Sprunger. “We only have two players returning offensively from last year and one on defense. “Our team is full of youth and players eager to fight for positions and challenge each other every day at practice. However, this also is going to lead to a lot of possible growing pains throughout the season.?It will be a fun season to watch Whitko football as this team finds its identity and what we can hang our hat on.”

Jon Reutebuch is endeavoring to build an identity for his Wawasee High School football team as he gets the Warriors ready for 2021 — his third season in charge of the program. “We want to have a toughness mentality where we can overcome any obstacles in our path,” says Reutebuch, who is 5-15 in his first two seasons. “It’s a commitment to excellence.
