Katheryn Louise Payne, 83, Packerton, Kosciusko County, died at 7:40 p.m. Tuesday, March 18, 2025.
She was born May 19, 1941, in Wayne County, W.Va., to Susie Marcum Stroud and Shorty Stroud. On July 11, 1980, she married Douglas J. Payne; he died March 18, 2024.
Katheryn’s life will be celebrated with a service at noon Friday, March 21 at Water Of Life Church, Silver Lake, and officiated by Pastors JR Arnett, Paul Copeland, Rick Bradley and Rocky Addair. She will be laid to rest beside her late husband at Hillcrest Cemetery, Pierceton. Friends and family may visit prior to the service from 10 a.m. to noon. Arrangements were entrusted to Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, Warsaw.
Memorial donations in Katheryn’s memory may be directed to Water Of Life Church, 401 E. Main St., Silver Lake, IN 46982.
