Boys Basketball
Wawasee at Prairie Heights
Wawasee snapped a short two-game skid on the road at Prairie Heights Saturday, winning 54-39. The Warriors are now 4-8 this season.
No statistics were available for the game. Wawasee is at Mishawaka for a conference game on Friday.
Lewis Cass at Manchester
Manchester’s winning streak reached double digits Saturday night, as the team defeated Lewis Cass 72-30 at home. The Squires are now 11-1 this winter, 3-0 in the Three Rivers Conference.
Ethan Hendrix led the way with a career-high 31 points. Gavin Betten had a double double with 24 points and 10 rebounds. Tallon Torpy had five.
Manchester is at home against Wabash Friday.
Lakewood Park Christian at Whitko
Whitko picked up a much needed win on Saturday night, defeating Lakewood Park Christian 46-33 at home. The Wildcats are now 3-8 this season.
Riley Harman and Chandler Cox each had eleven points in the victory while Davin Day and Easton Grable each scored eight.
Whitko is at home against Southwood Friday.
Tippecanoe Valley at John Glenn
Tippecanoe Valley picked up a massive win over John Glenn Friday night, defeating the Falcons 67-37 on the road. The Vikings are now 8-4 this season, 3-0 in the Indiana Northern State Conference.
No statistics were available for the game. Valley is at home Saturday night against Culver Academy.
Lakeland Christian at Elkhart Christian
Lakeland Christian suffered a loss on the road at Elkhart Christian Friday, falling 46-32. The Cougars are now 1-10 this winter.
Micah Martin led the way with 16 points in the loss. Josiah Rice scored seven.
LCA is at Smith Academy Tuesday.

NorthWood at Wawasee
Wawasee suffered a conference loss Saturday night, falling 42-26 at home NorthWood. The Lady Warriors are now 12-5 this season, 2-3 in the Northern Lakes Conference.
Mackenzie Hackleman led the way with 14 points. Lucy Wilkinson had five. Olivia Horn added eight rebounds.
Wawasee is at Columbia City Tuesday.
Whitko at Rochester
Whitko picked up a conference win over Rochester Saturday evening, beating the Zebras 49-35. The Lady ‘Cats are now 11-3 this year, 6-0 in the Three Rivers Conference.
Reese Stonebreaker led the way with 18 points. Anna Allebach scored eight, while Hazel Leffers scored seven.
Whitko is at Lakewood Park Christian Tuesday.
Mississinewa at Manchester
Manchester picked up a tight win at home Friday night, defeating Mississinewa 46-42 at home. The Lady Squires are now 7-10 this winter. Peyton Ream led the team in scoring with 16 points, while Emma Walker had eight. Ava Sautter, Olivia Stevens and Hanna Stout each had six.
Manchester is at Peru Tuesday.
Girls Wrestling
Warsaw at Regional
Warsaw’s Lady Tiger Wrestlers competed in the IHSAA Regional at Goshen on Friday and placed 7th out of the 54 teams.
The Tigers had 5 girls compete in the tournament, with two of them advancing to next week’s State Finals.
Senior 170 pounder, Kaiah Long earned her ticket to state as a Regional champion. She opened the day with an 8-0 win in round one, then punched her ticket with a pin in the quarterfinals. She advanced to the finals with a 6-0 win in the semifinals and picked up a pin in the finals.
Junior 155 pounder, Mariana Castro was runner-up to earn her trip to state. She worked her way into the finals on the strength of three pins before losing in the finals.
Emma DeWald at 125 and Natalie Davis at 130 both made it to the ticket round for Warsaw with first round pins.
Warsaw’s final competitor was Kristina Kolembe who fought well, but lost in the opening round.
