Republican Caucus Set For Franklin Township Board

With Ann Wiesehan being chosen Dec. 30 as the new Franklin Township trustee, she had to resign as a township board member effective immediately.
That vacancy on the Franklin Township Advisory Board will be filled through a Republican caucus at 6 p.m. Monday, Jan. 13 at the Mentone Community Emergency Services Building, 201 W. Main St., Mentone, according to information provided by Kosciusko County Republican Party Central Committee Chairman Mike Ragan.
The board member shall be elected by secret ballot of the majority of members of the voting caucus to fill the vacancy in the office. Candidates must reside in Franklin Township and be a Republican in good standing.
Declarations of candidacy are available at the office of Kosciusko County Clerk of the Circuit Court, 121 N. Lake St., Warsaw, and must be filed with Ragan no later than 72 hours prior to the commencement of the caucus. Ragan’s telephone number is 574-265-1430.
Eligible candidates will be allowed a maximum of three minutes to address the voting caucus.
