MENTONE – Douglas R. “Doug” Mayhew, 62, of rural Palestine, died at his residence on Sunday, June 2, 2024, at 4:59 a.m.
He was born in Rochester on April 26, 1962, to David and Dottie Damron Mayhew. On July 15, 1988, he married Michelle Spears in Warsaw; she survives.
The funeral service will take place at 11 a.m. Friday, June 7 at King Memorial Home, Mentone, with Pastor Lewis Shepherd officiating.
The interment will take place in the Palestine Cemetery.
Visitation hours will be 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, June 6 at King Memorial Home, Mentone, with a fireman’s service by the Burket Fire Department at 7 p.m.
The family request, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Burket Volunteer Fire Department.
