WCHS Theatre Students Shine At International Thespian Festival

The Warsaw Community High School Theatre troupe recently returned from the International Thespian Festival and brought home numerous awards.
The troupe performed "My Heart Says Go" in front of thousands, and five students competed in individual Thespy events: Elle Brouwer, solo acting, ranked superior; Emma Ferguson and Chase Carl, duo acting, ranked superior; Joel Montoya and Lillian House, duet musical, ranked superior; Elle Brouwer and Shannon Smith, duo acting, ranked excellent; Joel Montoya, solo musical, Thespy winner, according to a news release from Warsaw Community Schools.
Students also had the opportunity to participate in various workshops, build relationships with other theatre enthusiasts and watch award-winning theatre productions.
“We are incredibly proud of our students and their achievements at the International Thespian Festival,” said Melany Morris, theatre teacher and director at Warsaw Community High School, Thespian Troupe #5648. “Their dedication and hard work have truly paid off, and we look forward to seeing them continue to grow and excel in their theatrical pursuits.”
