Alderfer Bergen & Company in Warsaw announced that Will Day, CFP® has been authorized by the Financial Planner Board of Standards to use the Certified Financial Planner™ and CFP® marks in accordance with CFP® Board certification and renewal requirements.

Day has been with Alderfer Bergen since 2019, assisting the advisors with individual retirement planning, tax efficient small business retirement planning, retirement income strategies for prospective retirees, young adult financial prioritization, debt reduction strategies and college saving strategies, according to a news release from Alderfer Bergen & Company.

Day attended North Miami High School and has a Bachelor of Science from Indiana University Kokomo. He married Katie in September 2012 and together they have three sons. The Days reside in Rochester where Will is the only CFP® designee in Fulton County. He is a member of the Rochester Optimist Club and attends the Akron Church of God. Day is currently seeing clients at the Warsaw office, but as a Rochester native, is pleased to meet Fulton and surrounding county residents where they feel most comfortable.

The CFP® marks identify those individuals who have met the rigorous experience and ethical requirements of the CFP® Board, have successfully completed financial planning coursework and have passed the CFP® Certification Examination covering the following areas: the financial planning process, risk management, investments, tax planning and management, retirement and employee benefits and estate planning, the news release states. CFP® professionals also agree to meet ongoing continuing education requirements and to uphold CFP® Board’s code of ethics and professional responsibility, rules of conduct and financial planning practice standards.
