Brent Alan Blackburn, 27, of 1121 E. Wellington Drive, Warsaw, was booked into the Kosciusko County Jail at 3:53 p.m. Monday for theft. His bond was set at $5,000 surety and $1,000 cash.

Kortney Lynn Blackburn, 25, same address, is facing two charges of theft, level 6 felonies. Her bond was set at $5,000 surety and $1,000 cash.
On Dec. 20, Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office deputy Tom Waikel responded to a theft in Kosciusko County. He spoke with two people who said they went on vacation Dec. 25 to Jan. 26, and when they returned they found the Blackburns staying at their residence. They noticed that a locked bedroom door had been broken.
Stolen from the residence were jewelry; $1,200 in cash; a computer, DVD games, headphones and other items totaling $750; and a gaming station, CDs, DVD game and memorabilia valued at more than $750.
After taking the initial report, Waikel spoke with one of the residents, who said Brent and Kortney had moved in with Brent’s brother. Waikel spoke with the brother, who said after Brent and Kortney left his residence, he found items they had left behind that were stolen.
Waikel found the stolen gaming station had been sold to a pawn shop by the Blackburns, according to court documents.
