Lady Tigers Fall To Goshen In Conference Matchup
GOSHEN – Kacy Bragg and Emma Bohnenkamper had seven points each for Warsaw in its 39-26 Northern Lakes Conference girls basketball loss at Goshen Saturday night.
The game marked the return of Warsaw coach Lenny Krebs to his former home. He coached at Goshen for 14 seasons.
The Lady Tigers trailed by as many as 16 points in the first half, and couldn’t overcome its chilly night shooting from the floor. Warsaw made just eight of its 35 shots (23 percent) for the night.
Goshen wasn’t a lot better, making a third of its shots.
Brielle Harrison led Warsaw with seven rebounds, with Bragg pulling down six boards and Bohnenkamper getting five rebounds.
Warsaw won the junior varsity game 31-16 over the Lady RedHawks. Kensie Ryman had 14 points to lead the Lady Tigers.
Next up for Warsaw (12-7, 3-2 NLC) is a non-conference game with Homestead Tuesday night at the Tiger Den.

Lady Squires Win Thriller
NORTH MANCHESTER – Kerigan Hatfield hit a three-point shot as time expired to lift Manchester to a 34-32 comeback win over Wabash in a Three Rivers Conference girls basketball game Saturday night.
Manchester trailed 19-13 at halftime before mounting a comeback. The Lady Squires still trailed 28-25 at the end of the third quarter before the game-ending heroics.
Hatfield’s shot capped a game-high 14-point night. Erika Kendall had 10 points and a team-high eight rebounds.
“What a shot by Kerigan Hatfield to win the game,” Manchester coach Jacob Everett said. “She stepped up in a big moment and knocked it down.
“I couldn’t be happier for her and our team. All of our girls put in the preparation necessary to be in that position tonight. Our coaching staff designed a great game plan that the girls were able to execute. I’m so proud of our team for getting a big conference win.”
Wabash won the junior varsity game 36-33. Gabbie Brewer had 10 points to lead Manchester.
Next up for the Lady Squires (9-9, 5-1 TRC) is a non-conference home game against Fort Wayne Blackhawk Tuesday night.

Lady Wildcats Win In OT
SOUTH WHITLEY – Ellie Snep tied the game with a coast-to-coast layup at the end of regulation, and Taylor Reiff scored five points in overtime, all from the free throw line, to send Whitko to its first Three Rivers Conference win of the season, 60-55 over Southwood Saturday night.
Whitko trailed by six after the first quarter, and by as many as eight in the third period before coming back.
"I can't say enough about the effort and toughness of the kids," said Whitko coach Rick Bragg. "We got behind early, kept battling, and refused to lose. This is the culture and expectation we are trying to establish – beat the odds and find a way to win and that is what the kids did tonight."
Snep finished with a double-double of 17 points and 20 rebounds. Sarah Hewitt had nine points, with Reiff and Kayla Schipper getting eight points each.
Next up for Whitko (2-16 overall, 1-5 TRC) is a non-conference home game with Wawasee Tuesday night.
Valley Falls To Lady Zebras
ROCHESTER – Kennedy Musselman had 21 points and 17 rebounds for Rochester in its 39-36 win over 3A No. 7 Tippecanoe Valley in a key Three Rivers Conference girls basketball game Saturday night.

Rochester is 6-1 in the conference, with Northfield and Manchester next at 5-1. Valley fell to 4-2 in the conference and 15-3 overall.
Valley travels to Peru for a TRC game Tuesday night.
Cougars Get Conference Win
WINONA LAKE – Josh McDaniel had 30 points for Lakeland Christian in its 56-49 win over South Bend Trinity in the Cougars’ first Hoosier Plains Conference boys basketball game Saturday.
McDaniel had four three pointers and made sven shots from inside the arc. Jake Harmon and Landon Twombly had six points each, Braxton Keller had five and Jeremy Gross had four points for LCA.
