A Millersburg man will serve up to 10 years in prison in connection with a North Webster home invasion in April.

Matthew Morris, 38, was sentenced on one count of burglary and one count of robbery this morning in Kosciusko Circuit Court.

Police say Morris and Jesse Roberson entered Roberson’s grandparents’ house and robbed them at gunpoint.

The two men took guns,  knives, money, jewelry and prescription medication from the couple’s home.

Morris was arrested May 12 after an investigation revealed he was there.

Morris’ attorney, Joe Sobek, argued that his client’s past criminal history was non-violent.

Pro-tem Judge Duane Huffer said Morris had been told several times to get help for his drug problem. “You didn’t, and you harmed people, no sympathy,” Huffer said.

Huffer sentenced Morris to nine years on the first count and 10 years on the second count. The counts will be served concurrently. Morris will get 94 days credit for time served.

Roberson was sentenced to 10 years in prison on July 17.

Another man, Cody Stuckman, 23, North Webster, is facing charges of burglary, armed robbery and theft. Police say Stuckman drove the men to the scene.

Stuckman pleaded not guilty to the charges.

Stuckman is expected to change his plea later today.
