Woman Accused Of $79,000 Theft

NORTH MANCHESTER – A Silver Lake woman is facing charges after police say she took $79,000 from New Market Grocery Store.

Amanda Beeney, 29, was arrested for theft and corrupt business influence, according to a news release from the North Manchester Police Department.

On June 30, the management team of the store told police they had found discrepancies in the records starting in January.

Beeney was arrested Friday and taken to Wabash County Jail.
