Lyle and Shirley Williams, 1419 Sunset Drive, Winona Lake, will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary Sept. 2, 2011.

Lyle and the former Shirley Bosell were married Sept. 2, 1951, at First Baptist Church, Salem, Ore., by Dr. Lloyd T. Anderson.

They moved to Winona Lake from Oregon in 1960, when Lyle was employed by The Free Methodist Publishing House as editor of Sunday School curriculum for adults. He retired in 1993 in Indianapolis, where the denominational headquarters had relocated.

Shirley worked for the Free Methodist Publishing House as administravie assistant in the business office, publisher’s office and Christian education department. She was receptionist/secretary at Othy (now Symmetry Medical) for six years.

The couple have three children: Dale Williams, Punta Gorda, Fla.; Karen (and spouse David) Overmyer, Winona Lake; and Diane (and spouse Rick) Dobbins, Santa Clara, Calif.; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

They will celebrate with a family dinner on their anniversary.[[In-content Ad]]
