David and Judy Whaley, Warsaw, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary Aug. 20, 2011.

David and the former Judy Ford were married Aug. 20, 1961, at Kentland Presbyterian Church.

David completed 35 years in teaching and school administration with 26 years in Warsaw. Judy taught four years in elementary education and 26 years as a middle school counselor in Warsaw.

The couple have two children, Brad (and spouse Darlene) Whaley, Warsaw, and Kim (and spouse Doug) Jennings, LaOtto; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

There will be family pictures and a dinner to celebrate the occasion.

The couple will enjoy a two-week trip to Alaska.
