BOURBON – Waneta R. Klinefelter, 94, of Etna Green, passed away May 22, 2011, in her residence in the care of her family and Hospice.
She was born June 30, 1916, in Grand Rapids, Mich., to Roy and Evelena Barnbrook Houser, who preceded her in death. On Aug. 31, 1941, she married John Harrison Klinefelter, who died Oct. 26, 1974.
A resident of the Bourbon and Etna Green area most all her life, she was a homemaker and a bookkeeper for the family business. She was a very faithful member of Etna Green United Methodist Church, a member of  United Methodist Women and Bourbon Progress Club and a 50-year member and past worthy matron of Order of the Eastern Star.
Surviving are four children: Janet Stuntz, Bremen; John Jr. (and spouse Susan) Klinefelter and Jeffery Klinefelter, all of Etna Green; and James (and spouse Pat) Klinefelter, Warsaw; three grandchildren, Tate (and spouse Amy) Stuntz, Tara Stuntz and Stefanie (and spouse Derek) Sauer; six great-grandchildren: Emily, Julia, Mykenzie, Payton, Jocelyn and Colton; a sister, Phyllis Stackhouse, Westfield; and a brother, John (and spouse Betty) Houser, Indianapolis. She also was preceded in death by a brother, Loy Houser.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Etna Green United Methodist Church with Pastor Joe Lampton officiating. Burial will be in Etna Green Cemetery.
Calling is from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Deaton-Clemens Funeral Home, 115 S. Main St., Bourbon, and one hour prior to the service Thursday at the church.
