Cecil and Doris Paulus, 33 EMS T47A Lane, Leesburg, will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversry Dec. 15, 2011.

Cecil and the former Doris Gaff were married Dec. 15, 1951, at North Webster Methodist Church by the Rev. Manley. The temperature that day was 18 degrees below zero.

Cecil served in the U.S. Navy from 1950-54 during the Korean War. He graduated from Columbia City High School in 1948 and founded Paulus Well Drilling and Paulus Plastic Co. Doris is a 1948 North Webster High School graduate, a homemaker and retired as secretary of Paulus Well Drilling.

The couple have four children: Monna (and spouse Rick) Baum, Warsaw; Chris (and spouse Anna), Leesburg; Ken (and spouse Ellen), Leewood, Kan.; and the late Steven; and nine grandchildren.
