Keith Gillespie, 80, of 1634 S. Country Farm Road, Warsaw, died at 5:10 a.m. Feb. 21, 2008, in Miller's Merry Manor, Warsaw.

He was born April 20, 1927, in Portland, Ind., to Earl and Ida Bell Stoker Gillespie. On Nov. 24, 1950, in Portland, he married Dortha Ann Hampson, who died Nov. 13, 2007.

He lived in Indiana, Ohio and then Rensselaer before moving back to Warsaw in 1966. He retired from United Telephone Co. in 1983. He was a member of American Legion Post 49, Warsaw, and was a World War II veteran.

Surviving are two daughters, Beth (and spouse Tom) Heiman and Linda (and spouse Gary) Fribley, both of Warsaw; four grandchildren: Ann and Steve Fribley and Brian and Laura Heiman; and three great-grandchildren, Keegan, Austin and Katilyn Bays. He was preceded in death by five brothers and a grandson, David Fribley.

A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw, with military honors by members of American Legion Post 49.

No calling is planned.
