Carlyle and the former Zelpha Witmer were married Jan. 4, 1942, in the residence of Glen Witmer, father of the bride, in Whitley County.
On Nov. 25, 1942, Carlyle was drafted into the U.S. and served in World War II.
Carlyle started Ginter Electric Service Inc., in January 1950 in the garage of their Harrison Street residence. Their son, Wayne, continues to manage the family business.
The couple have two children, Wayne Ginter, Warsaw, and S. Anne Mason, Toledo, Ohio; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.[[In-content Ad]]
