NORTH MANCHESTER - Dorothy L. Warner Watson, 92, of North Manchester, died at 4:50 a.m. Oct. 14, 2010, in Peabody Healthcare Center, North Manchester.

She was born July 29, 1918, in Wabash County, to Jesse and Nona Mishler Blickenstaff. On Aug. 29, 1940, she married T. Gene Warner, who died April 27, 1990. On April 17, 1994, she married Joe F. Watson, who died April 15, 2007.

She taught at North Webster, South Whitley and retired from Wabash Metropolitan Schools as coordinating librarian and reading specialist. She attended Manchester Church of the Brethren, North Manchester. She graduated from Chester High School, North Manchester; earned a bachelor's degree from Manchester College; and a master's degree from Saint Francis College. She attended Goshen College, Butler University, IPFW and IU for additional education. She helped organize 13 school libraries. She was active in school librarian organizations, Retired Teachers, the Jackson Junior Home Demonstration Club and was a Sunday school teacher. Following retirement she volunteered at South Whitley Elementary School and did tutoring at Adult Learning Center, Warsaw.

Surviving are three sons: Jay (and spouse Linda) Warner, North Manchester; Joe (and spouse Linda) Warner, South Bend; and Jan (and spouse Sue) Warner, Plymouth; a daughter, Joy (and spouse Robert) Stiffler, North Manchester; two stepdaughters, Janet (and spouse Richard) Magsig, Dansville, Mich., and Sally (and spouse David) Green, Findlay, Ohio; two sisters, Kathryn Metzger, Akron, and Esther Miller, Pierceton; 11 grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; 11 step-great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Manchester Church of the Brethren, 1306 N. Beckley St., North Manchester, with Pastors Karen Eberly and Jamie Stiffler officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, North Manchester.

Calling is from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Manchester Church of the Brethren.
