SYRACUSE - Cletus A. Lee, 88, of Syracuse, died at 3:45 a.m. Oct. 5, 2010, in Goshen General Hospital.

He was born May 20, 1922, in Paulding County, Ohio, to Phillip and Elsie Ash Lee. On Jan. 14, 1984, in Syracuse, he married Jeannette L. LeCount Cripe, who survives.

He attended Syracuse Public Schools. He lived most of his life in Kosciusko and Noble County areas and was a lifetime area farmer. He was a member of Clearview United Brethren Church, Goshen.

Also surviving are two stepdaughters, Cheryll (and spouse Hubert) Schmucker, Goshen, and Julia (and spouse Steve) Mynhier, Wawaka; a stepson, Kirby (and spouse Linda) Cripe, Syracuse; six step-grandchildren; 13 step-great-grandchildren; a sister, Delores Torok, Jeffersonville; and a brother, Virgil Lee, Bristol. He was preceded in death by four brothers and a sister.

A memorial service will be 3 p.m. Sunday at Clearview United Brethren Church, Goshen, with the Rev. Hubert Schmucker officiating. A private burial service was held in the Syracuse Cemetery.

Owen Family Funeral Home, Syracuse, is in charge of arrangements.
