Warsaw Falls To Northridge 7-0 In Sectional Opener

With two wins over Northridge in the regular season already under their belt, the Northern Lakes Conference champions Warsaw Tigers needed to get a third one on Thursday night to keep their season alive in the first round of the IHSAA 4A baseball sectional at Penn High School. The Tigers were unable to get much going offensively, falling in the first round of the playoffs, 7-0 to the Raiders.

Warsaw Takes First Place At Girls Track And Field Regional

There were a handful of local athletes that qualified for the state finals, but the big story coming out of the Kokomo Girls Track and FIeld Regional on Tuesday was the Warsaw Lady Tigers winning the meet to add yet another trophy to an already impressive season. Warsaw finished with 81 points, Penn came in second with 54, while South Bend Washington took third with 36.

Penn Squeaks By Warsaw 3-2 In Tennis Regional Semis

The Warsaw and Penn girls tennis teams met earlier this season, with the Lady Tigers picking up a 3-2 win. The two sides met again on Tuesday night on a much bigger stage, the IHSAA girls tennis regional semifinal at NorthWood. The final score was 3-2 once again, but this time the Lady Kingsmen were able to pull off the victory and advance.

The Do Indiana Off-Road (D.IN.O) Mountain Bike Racing series has called the Winona Lake Trails home since 2002, a full three years before partnering with the Fat & Skinny Tire festival in 2005 to make the first race in a series of six a headlining festivity of a three-day festival that celebrates those who love to get their exercise and fun done on two wheels.

Bussard Dominates On Mound As Valley Beats Warsaw

The regular season finale for both teams, Friday night’s softball game between Tippecanoe Valley and Warsaw was dominated by the Lady Vikings, as starting pitcher Dalynne Bussard struck out eleven and the Valley offense scored three runs in each of the last three innings as Tippecanoe Valley cruised to a 10-0 win in six innings.
