Betten, Hendrix Shine In Manchester Win Over Wabash

Two teams on opposite ends of the spectrum met in North Manchester Friday night, as the 2A No. 7 Manchester boys faced off against a winless Wabash side. The game went just as one would expect, with the Squires jumping out to a big lead early and coasting the rest of the way to a 65-18 victory, the team’s eleventh in a row.

Warsaw Shakes Off Rough First Quarter To Down Penn

Fresh off of perhaps the biggest win of the season against Northridge Friday night, the Warsaw boys basketball team got right back to work on Tuesday evening, facing off against Penn. The Tigers shook off a very slow start to take part in what was an incredibly back-and-forth game, winning 59-55.

Lady Tigers Pass Biggest Test Yet, Win At Northridge

For the second straight night, Warsaw and Northridge met on the hardwood as two top-10 teams in the state. This time it was the girls teams in action, facing off at the Lady Raiders’ brand new gym. While the Lady Tigers were in control on the scoreboard for a majority of the contest, it felt a lot closer than that. In the end, Warsaw put itself in the driver's seat in the Northern Lakes Conference and remained undefeated with a 60-44 win.

Warsaw Hands Northridge First Loss Of Season At Home

Two of the top ten boys basketball teams in the state met on Friday night in front of a packed house at the Tiger Den, as No. 9 Warsaw and No. 3 Northridge renewed their rivalry. The game was excellent, with both teams having their fair share of big moments. The Raiders were up seven late, but it was the Tigers with the last laugh, handing the visitors their first loss of the season with a 64-59 comeback win.

Triton Erases Late Deficit To Stun LaVille On The Road

While no longer conference rivals, the Triton and LaVille boys basketball teams found the time to keep the series alive with a nonconference game Tuesday night. Facing an eleven-point deficit late on the road, Triton kept on battling and went in front once and for all with six seconds left to win 49-48.

Warsaw Girls Score 195 Points In Two Games At Home Tourney

With two weeks having gone by since the team’s last game, the Warsaw girls basketball team took its undefeated record into 2025 by hosting the Lady Tiger Tournament on Saturday. Warsaw showed no signs of rust following the layoff, scoring 105 points against New Haven in the first game and 90 against Chesterton in the championship to improve to 15-0.

Wawasee Comes In Second Place At Warrior Tourney

Hosting the annual Warrior tournament on Friday, the Wawasee boys basketball team once again found itself in the championship game after a win earlier in the day. Facing off against a solid Norwell team, the Warriors hung around for a large chunk of the game. In the end, the host school had to settle for second place for the second year in a row, falling 52-36.

Off to a fast start to the 2024-25 season, the Warsaw boys basketball team will face its biggest challenge yet on Saturday morning when the team travels to New Castle to compete in the annual Hall of Fame Classic

Warsaw Pulls Away In Second Half To Beat Wawasee

One of the biggest surprises in Kosciusko County hoops last year happened in mid December when Wawasee pulled off a massive upset over Warsaw in boys basketball. Just over a year later, the two teams met once again on Friday night. This time around, The Tigers were prepared from the jump, going up early and staying there in a 67-48 win in the Northern Lakes Conference opener for both teams.
