Putting together a great season so far, the Whitko softball team set its sights on a nonconference game against Fort Wayne Wayne on Thursday. The offense got going early and often for the Lady ‘Cats in this one, as the team was able to cruise to a 17-0 win at home.
Warsaw Outduels Wawasee 4-0 In Tight NLC Contest
Not too far removed from throwing a no-hitter on Monday, the Warsaw pitching staff picked up right where it left off on Wednesday, throwing four hitless innings to begin a Northern Lakes Conference game against Wawasee. The Tigers went on to win the pitcher’s duel 4-0 to remain among the teams leading the NLC.

Looking to move past a mercy-rule loss to Goshen earlier this week, the Warsaw baseball team set their eyes on a different Northern Lakes Conference opponent on Friday: Plymouth. The Tigers started fast, scoring seven runs in the first inning en route to a 10-2 victory.
Schannep Throws No-No As Manchester Beats Triton
The Manchester softball team concluded what was a very successful week on Thursday with a 22-0 victory over Triton at home. Molly Schannep led the way by giving up no hits in the circle, and her offense did more than enough to support her, with most of the damage coming in a 15-run second inning.
Whitko Falters For First Time Against Northwestern
Undefeated heading into Wednesday’s game against Northwestern, the Whitko baseball team suffered its first setback of the season, falling 9-0 at home. The Wildcats struggled to get much going offensively throughout the game, allowing the Tigers to extend their lead over the course of the contest.
Wawasee Uses Fast Start To Blow Past Warsaw 14-3
The Northern Lakes Conference opener for both teams, Wawasee’s offense was the storyline early on, as an eight-run second inning for the Lady Warriors was more than enough to escape with a 14-3 victory over their rival Warsaw Lady Tigers.
