Lady Tiger Rugby Takes Home State Championship

Monday was a day to remember for the Warsaw Lady Tiger Rugby Program, pictured above after defeating Carroll 43-5 to win the IHSAA State Rugby Championship. Notre Dame commit Mia Blocher was named the MVP of the D1 Tournament. It was a fantastic season for the team, highlighted by a 9-0 record that saw the Lady Tigers outscore their opponents 506-74, an average of 51-7 each game. Over the course of the season, the Lady Tigers traveled 1,336 miles on their road to the state championship, Congratulations, Ladies!

Warsaw Takes Down No. 5 Carroll On Penalty Kicks
For the second straight season, the Warsaw boys soccer team’s regional semifinal match would not be determined in regular or extra time, instead needing penalty kicks to decide a winner. This time, the Tigers were able to come out on top, defeating No. 5 Carroll on the road 0-0 (5-4) to live to fight another day.

Saturday Pancake & Sausage Breakfast To Benefit Local Kids
Two local unions have come together to host a pancake and sausage breakfast Saturday to benefit area Warsaw Community Schools kids.
