Warsaw Boys Golf Finishes 13th At IHSAA State Finals

The 2023-24 sports season for Kosciusko County teams came to an end Wednesday afternoon, as Warsaw boys golf finished competition at the IHSAA Boys Golf State Finals at Prairie View Golf Course in Carmel, the final event of the year. The Tigers ended the tournament in 13th place with a +77 over two days of play, four strokes behind 12th place Floyd Central and eleven strokes in front of 14th place Chesterton. Zionsville won the tournament with a +24, five strikes ahead of second place Westfield, and six ahead of third place Hamilton Southeastern.
Sophomore Breckin Christner led the Tigers with a final score of 152 (+8) after a Day 2 score of 77.

Senior Austin Craig, playing in his final round as a Tiger, shot 80 for the second straight day and finished +16 over par for the tournament.
Robbie Finlinson's second-day 81 put him at +19 for the finals, while Quinton Fifer posted a pair of 89's and ended +34.
The individual tournament was won by Fairfield’s Breyden Miller, who cleared the rest of the field by four strokes, finishing -5 through two days to take first place. Aidan Gutierrez of Valparaiso shot two under on day two to climb into second place, where he finished tied with Leo’s Justin Hicks and Westfield’s Jake Cesare. Happy Gilmore finished tied for eleventh.
