Volleyball
Warsaw at Hamilton Southeastern

Warsaw Volleyball began its season Saturday morning with a match against one of the top teams in the state, falling 3-0 on the road to Hamilton Southeastern. The Lady Tigers begin the campaign at 0-1.
No statistics were available for the match. Warsaw will be back in action Tuesday against Fort Wayne Concordia Lutheran for its home opener.
Manchester at Fort Wayne Bishop Luers
Manchester began its 2024 season with a tough victory Saturday night, defeating Fort Wayne Bishop Luers 3-2 (22-25, 25-9, 21-25, 25-19, 15-11) on the road. The Lady Squires start the campaign at 1-0.
Elizabeth Renz and Myla Crozier each finished with double-digit kills for Manchester, ending the match with 14 and 12 respectively. Hadley West added three aces and 16 digs, while Peyton Ream tallied 32 assists.
The Lady Squires will play their first home game of the season Tuesday evening, hosting Peru.
Boys Soccer
Warsaw at Carroll

Warsaw boys soccer began its season Saturday afternoon with a 1-1 draw against Carroll, starting the Tigers off with a 0-0-1 record.
The lone Warsaw goal came off the boot of Ashton Ault, with the assist coming from Sam Lara. The Tigers are on the road Monday against Fort Wayne Southside.
John Glenn at Lakeland Christian
Lakeland Christian was on the wrong end of a close loss in its season opener Saturday, falling 2-1 at home to John Glenn. The Cougars begin the year at 0-1.
The lone LCA goal came off of a Glenn mishap, as an own goal by the Falcons in the 33rd minute allowed Lakeland Christian to get on the board. Braden Weirick made 10 saves in net for the team.
The Cougars are home once again on Tuesday, taking on Elkhart Christian.
Cross Country
Warsaw/Manchester/Lakeland Christian at Tiger Invitational

Warsaw cross country hosted its annual Tiger Invitational Saturday morning, an event that was dominated by Columbia City. The Eagles won both the boys and girls races to earn a clean sweep. Warsaw finished second in the girls race.
Manchester had some of the top local finishers of the day, with Kyler Dale and Ayla Cashdollar each taking second place in their respective races. Warsaw’s best finisher was Sammi Rastrelli, who took third in the girls race. Mattias Niebbia paced all Tiger boys with a ninth place finish. Oliver Fitzpatrick and Kadence Fox of Manchester also earned top-10 finishes, while Warsaw’s Eden Metz took fifth.
Manchester hosts an invitational on Tuesday, while Warsaw is back in action Saturday at the Larry James Invitational.
