Dale Dodier, 55, Warsaw, passed away after a lengthy illness at 9:55 p.m. Sept. 22, 2016, at Lutheran Hospital of Fort Wayne.  He was born on Nov. 15, 1960, in San Gabriel, Calif., to Frank A. Fisher and Lois LaMarche Dodier.   

Jack Nelson Powell,

Jack Nelson Powell, 87, Warsaw, passed away Sept. 22, 2016, at his home. He was born Dec. 9, 1928, in Clunette, to Graydon and Mildred Miller Powell. On April 18, 1948, in Atwood, he married Virginia May Smith, who preceded him in death in 2014. They had been married 66 years.

Grace Runners Overcome Injuries To Place Well

Grace’s cross country teams had strong showings at the massive Brissman-Lundeen Invitational on Friday. The men’s team finished sixth out of 31 teams, and the women’s team was fifth out of 26 squads. Both races had over 200 runners competing, and the men’s race topped 300 participants. Grace competed in the Gold Division of the meet. The Lancers had several key members sit out the race for various reasons. Three of Grace’s top seven women’s runners were out, and two of the typical top-five men’s runners were also sidelined on Friday.
