June W. Fisher, 98, North Manchester, formerly of Warsaw, died at 2:25 a.m. Oct. 12, 2016, at Timbercrest Healthcare Center, North Manchester. She was born June 10, 1918, in Warsaw, to Herman and Gertrude Dick Dahms. On May 27, 1938, she married Floyd Eugene Fisher, who died June 9, 2014.

Charles Lawrence Sekafetz, 79, Indianapolis, died suddenly Sept. 12, 2016, in Indianapolis. He was born Dec. 3, 1937, in Chicago, to Charles and Lillian Cunat Sekafetz.

M. Max Gross, 91, Warsaw, passed away at 6:50 a.m. Oct. 18, 2016, at Miller’s Merry Manor, Warsaw. He was born June 20, 1925, in Warsaw, to Earl and Katie Pearl Rapp Gross. On June 12, 1954, in Franklin, he married Georgia Marie Mishler, who passed away Nov. 15, 2011.

After falling behind 21-0 in the first quarter at Peru, Whitko came back to take a 26-21 lead by the end of the period. The Tigers reassumed the lead, and a second Wildcat comeback fell short in Peru’s 35-32 win in the Three Rivers Conference playoff Friday night. Whitko’s Garrett Elder ran for 173 yards and four touchdowns in the game. He finished the regular season with 1,526 yards and 23 touchdowns.
