Tippecanoe Valley Fall Sports Winners

Tippecanoe Valley announced its fall sports awards winners this week. In girls golf, Victoria Biddle was the medalist, won the putting award and along with Blake McBrier was team captain. Bethany Johnson won the mental attitude award, Makayla Sandbakken was most improved, and Jordan Krotke was the Booster Club award winner. Brianna McBrier was the junior varsity medalist.

Juanita M. Myers, 100, Decatur, passed away on Nov. 16, 2016, at Adams Woodcrest, where she had been a resident for the past five months. She was born Dec. 11, 1915, in Adams County, the daughter of the late Thompson R. Noll and the late Allie M. Bender Noll. She married James M. Myers on May 4, 1940, in Pendleton, and he preceded her in death on Nov. 25, 2002.  She was a member of Bethel Brethren Church in Berne and the G.E. Women's Club in Decatur. She was a graduate of Decatur High School in 1933 and retired in 1978 from General Electric, Decatur, with 20 years of service.  Survivors include two daughters, Beverly J. (spouse Roger) Gaunt, Decatur, and Judith A. (spouse Ronnie) Frank,  Monroe; a son, David E. (spouse Brenda) Myers, Decatur; and two brothers, Tom (spouse Shirley) Noll and Robert Noll, both of Decatur. She is also survived by five grandchildren: Rebecca Ward, Suzette Benzinger, Jolene Wynn, Jeffrey Myers and Tim Myers; 15 great-grandchildren: James Ward, Rachel Franco, Jordan Ward, Zachary Stine, Alexis Stine, Hannah Stine, Danielle Stine, Nathan Wynn, Megan Wynn, Brandon Wynn, Kristen Wynn, Madalynn Myers, Lilly Myers, Duke Myers and Gabe Myers; and a stepgreat-grandchild, Zachary Benzinger. Preceding her were a son, Edward Lee Myers; a grandson, Kerry Lee Frank; two brothers, Richard and Carl Noll; and three sisters: Eloise Noll, Mary Neireiter and Patricia Sipe.
