On Aug. 5, 1950, in Warsaw, she married Richard “Dick” R. Goshert; they were married 58 years until his passing Jan. 30, 2009.

Paul R. Haist, 92, Mentone, died at 9:20 a.m. Nov. 22, 2016, at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne. He was born Aug. 24, 1924, in Hersey, Mich., to Herbert and Lena Haist Haist.

Ridley Lee Brown

Ridley Lee Brown, 85, Warsaw, passed away at 2:45 a.m. Nov. 24, 2016, in Mason Health Care and Rehabilitation Center, Warsaw. On May 26, 1931, he was born in Baxter, Tenn., to Ridley L. Sr. and Armentia Ritenbury Brown and stepmother Osca Davis. He was united in marriage to Jaunita Campbell on July 1, 1950, in Warsaw. In 1949, he came to the Warsaw area. He retired from Huffer Foundry, Warsaw, and was a member at God’s Highway to Heaven, Warsaw. He is survived by his two sons, Bob (spouse Tanya) Brown and John (spouse Rita) Brown, all of Warsaw; a sister, Marie (spouse Opris) Flatt, Baxter; 11 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.  He was preceded by two sons, Jerry and Larry Brown; five sisters: Mamie Whitaker, Alice Whitaker, Ivy McBroom, Vergie Robinson and Eva Jackson; and a great-grandson, Griffin Douglas. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at God’s Highway to Heaven Church, Warsaw, with the Rev. Bob Brown and the Rev. Don Chadwick officiating. Burial will be in Center Cemetery, Silver Lake. Charles Edward Snyder,

Charles Edward Snyder, 70, Columbia City, passed away at 2:55 p.m. Nov. 22, 2016, at Parkview Whitley Hospital.  Born Sept. 18, 1946, in Roaring Springs, Pa., he was the son of Wilbur L. and Betty L. Aungst Snyder. He was a resident of Kosciusko County from 1965 to 2004, when he moved to the Whitley County area. He graduated from Central Cove High School in Martinsburg, Pa., with the class of 1964. He attended Grace College, St. Francis College and Indiana University while attending IPFW. On Dec. 19, 2004, he married Patricia J. Goodin.
