Jeannette L. Cripe Lee

SYRACUSE — Jeannette L. Cripe Lee, 90, Goshen, formerly of Syracuse, passed away at 6:15 a.m. Jan. 14, 2017, at Courtyard Healthcare Center, Goshen.  She was born Dec. 29, 1926, in Syracuse, to Gideon Olen and Chloie Hoover LeCount. On July 1, 1943, she married Ray Cripe, who died Sept. 23, 1980. On Jan. 14, 1984, in Syracuse, she married Cletus A. Lee, who died Oct. 5, 2010.  Graveside services were planned for 11 a.m. today at Syracuse Cemetery with Pastor Jim Gillette officiating.  Memorial services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Clearview United Brethren Church, 67622 U.S. 33, Goshen, with Pastor Hubert Schmucker officiating.  Owen Family Funeral Home, Syracuse, is in charge of arrangements. ***** Memorials to Clearview United Brethren Church, 67622 U.S. 33, Goshen, IN 46526. Wayne Marvin Nicola

Wayne Marvin Nicola, Warsaw, passed away at 11:40 a.m. Jan. 15, 2017, at Parkview Regional Medical Center of Fort Wayne at the age of 79. He was born July 31, 1937, in Eastport, Mich., to Wilburt Nicola and Marian Batterbee Nicola. On June 21, 1958, he was married to Erma Haught, who survives in Warsaw.

Tigers’ Hatch Signs With Wabash College

Warsaw senior wrestler Kyle Hatch signed a letter of intent to continue his academic and wrestling career at Wabash College in Crawfordsville.  Entering today’s Garrett Invitational, Hatch has a 147-15 career record, including a 69-1 mark over the past two seasons, and is 29-0 this season at 152-pounds. Hatch took eighth place at 106 pounds at the IHSAA state finals as a freshman (34-10 overall), and seventh at  the IHSAA state 120-pound division (44-4) at the state meet as a sophomore
