AKRON — Micheal L. Wise, 67, rural Akron, died at 1:30 a.m. March 6, 2017, at Autumn Ridge Rehabilitation Center, Wabash, after being in failing health for five years. He was born Jan. 26, 1950, in Warsaw, to Lonus and Virginia Currie Wise. On Nov. 22, 2003, in Akron, he married Annette Hartman; she survives. He had been employed by Tippecanoe Valley School Corp. since 1978 as a bus driver and custodian.  He graduated from Akron High School in 1968. He then attended Manchester College and Purdue University. While at Purdue he sang in the Purdue Glee Club.

Lila Mae Sheely, 78, Winona Lake, passed away at 3:30 p.m. March 5, 2017, at her residence.  She was born on Sept. 30, 1938, in Greentown, Ohio, to Benjamin Thomas Jr. and Alma Fern Stickle Sheely.    No visitation is planned. A service of recognition will be at Grace Village Retirement Community chapel during the 10 a.m. Sunday service on March 19.
