Whitko Roundup: Wildcats Sweep Bluffton

Whitko needed 10 innings to claim an 8-7 victory in the opening game of a doubleheader with visiting Bluffton, then won the second game 10-0 in five innings for the sweep Saturday. In the opener the Wildcats trailed 6-3 heading into the bottom of the seventh and final inning of regulation play. Drew Bradford cranked a three-run homer to tie the game. He also had a pair of doubles and was the winning pitcher in the contest. Bluffton scratched across a run in the top of the 10th to retake the lead, but Whitko won the game on Bradford’s infield single. River West scored the tying run, and Bailey Platt scored when the Bluffton third baseman made a bad throw to first.
