Like April showers bring May flowers, every spring since 2001  the Warsaw Lady Tigers have earned a tennis sectional title. Friday night at Warsaw Tennis and Fitness, it was business as usual with Warsaw blanking Whitko 5-0 for a 17th consecutive title and 27th overall.

Janet R. Crowell, 82, Warsaw, passed away at 1:24 a.m.  May 16, 2017, at Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw.  She was born Nov. 7, 1934, to Plen and Marjorie Madden Yoder in Albion County. She worked for Whitley Products and for Da-Lite Screen. She was a member of Warsaw Family Worship Church, Warsaw. Janet enjoyed going to Center Lake with her family. She is survived by her children: Pam Minnix, John (spouse Sharon) Long, Grover Layne, Diana (spouse Al) Wehr, Richard Layne and Roger (spouse Jane) Layne; 15 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband and several brothers and sisters. Rosetta Stout

LOGANSPORT — Rosetta Stout, 78, Logansport, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at 10:45 p.m. Monday, May 1, 2017, at her residence. Born Oct. 20, 1938, in Warsaw, she was the daughter of the late Rex and Pauline Borden Carey. On May 24, 1963, she married Casper Stout, and he preceded her in death Oct. 26, 1993. Rosetta was formerly employed at Federal Mogul in Leiters Ford, where she retired after 21 years.
