Zimmer Gets New President Staff Report NEW YORK - J.Raymond Elliott was appointed president of Zimmer Inc.Tuesday by Bristol-Myers Squibb Company. Elliott, 48, replaces Terence N.Furness, who was appointed senior vice president, strategic planning, medical devices segment, in May. "Ray joins Zimmer at an important time," said Peter R.Dolan, president, Nutritionals and Medical Devices Group, BMS."We are restructuring our organization, refocusing our product lines and leveraging our strengths to sustain our competitive advantage in today's rapidly changing marketplace." Elliott joins Zimmer from Cybex International, a leader in medical rehabilitation and commercial fitness products, where he was president and chief executive officer.He also served as president and CEO of key medical devices, surgical and diagnostic divisions of Baxter Healthcare Corporation.
