A Kosciusko County Sweep

Kosciusko County high school golf teams were a little stingy when it came to the top three slots to get out of the sectional at Rozella Ford Saturday. With Warsaw winning another sectional title and Wawasee getting second and Valley third, the top three advancing teams were the three high schools in Kosciusko County. "I think it is very nice that all three teams that are advancing are from Kosciusko County," Warsaw coach Bob Turner said."It is a county sweep of the teams that are going to Fort Wayne (for the regional).I am glad for all three teams. "I know some people thought I gave these other teams too much credit," he said."But I knew there were seven teams here that were very decent. This is the toughest sectional I have seen since I have been here." Warsaw had to rally on the back nine, but came up with a 157 on the final holes to shoot a 321.Wawasee finished with a 326 and Valley a 329.

Social Security:

Or Isn't It? It's really quite bizarre, the Social Security debate. I must say, I don't know what to believe. On the one hand, you have the people - and W is one of those - who say the system is in crisis and we need to do something right away. Yet others say, nah, it's fine.Sure, it has some problems, but nothing to worry about right now. I checked out what The 2004 Social Security Trustees Report says. (I think this is where W got a lot of his info for the State of the Union speech.) The Social Security Board of Trustees states that, unless something changes, Social Security's currently scheduled benefits can't be sustained for the long term. In the 2004 Annual Report to Congress, the Trustees announced: • The projected point at which tax revenues will fall below program costs comes in 2018. • The projected point at which the Trust Funds will be exhausted comes in 2042 - also the same as the estimate in last year's report.

Insurance Can Be A Key To Managing Your Risk

In financial planning, we spend a lot of time thinking about, talking about and working toward long-term goals that are integral to attaining the life you want to live. An important aspect that sometimes gets ignored is protecting your assets and all that you’ve worked for from unexpected events. That’s where insurance comes in. Life insurance is a big part of that, but we’ll save that for another day. Today, we are going to cover auto, home and umbrella policies.
