Mike Dewitt, owner of the Car Company, said all 1,000 trees were given away within an hour last Sunday at his three dealerships. Approximately 1,800 howling, hysterical fans saw Everett "Odds" Anglin's Purple quintet down the American Legion in the donkey basketball game at the Armory, necessitating an overtime contest, 16 to 14. The contest, an affair combining all the fine points of football, wrestling, and so forth, kept the crowd in a constant uproar throughout the melee. The contest was a huge success and the Milk Fund for which it was staged will receive approximately $80.

The couple were married Feb. 15, 1883, in Michigan, and came to Winona Lake 15 years ago from Chicago. Mrs. Hunter, for the past 15 years, has been in charge of the missionary home at Winona Lake, and Mr. Hunter has been mail distributor at Winona Lake for the same length of time.
