After learning Monday he had won the Bevo Francis Award as the nation’s top small college men’s basketball player, Warsaw native and Indiana Wesleyan junior guard Kyle Mangas took some time to reflect on how he began his journey to the top of the small college basketball world. “I started my Warsaw basketball career in second grade, playing on a third-grade level travel team in town with guys like Paul Marandet, guys like Riley Rhoades and Evan Schmidt who I’d go on to play high school ball.

Harrison’s Double-Double Leads Lady Tigers

Third-year Warsaw girls basketball coach Lenny Krebs vowed to turn Brielle Harrison loose. The 5-foot-11 senior took the green light and delivered Saturday against Norwell, leading the Lady Tigers to a season-opening 65-60 win with 16 points, 11 rebounds and five assists.
