The sixth-grade science students at Triton Elementary School are using the new Science Lab and enjoying learning about the steps in the scientific process as they complete their note books and create and participate in many hands on experiments. They also have completed several virtual labs with their new one-to-one computers this year.

Teen Airlifted After Skateboarding Accident

A 14-year-old boy was airlifted to Parkview Medical Center in Fort Wayne after suffering a head injury after a skateboarding accident at about 12:32 p.m. Saturday.

June 2810 Years AgoIn April, 65 students of the Redeemer Lutheran School filled 75 boxes with school supplies for children in Paraguay. As part of the “By Kids – For Kids” program, students in grades K-6 joined with thousands across North America who collected and packed the supplies. Each box also contains a small toy, a storybook in their language, a personal note and a photo of the child who packed the box. She plans to attend Anderson University. Elizabeth Masterson has the honor of being chosen salutatorian. She is the daughter of Mike and Jimma Masterson, Sidney, and plans to attend Purdue University. Both recipients were “a little shocked” when they heard the announcement. Stephanie’s speech at the commencement May 28 will be “Reflect,” on her fond memories of school. Elizabeth’s talk, “Follow Your Heart,” will be about pursuing dreams. After two years, patent examiners this week allowed one of his claims and have sent the inventor a certificate recognizing the originality of his invention. Miller has as yet made no assignment of his patent rights, either for manufacture or exploitation. A vehicle bumper comprises a body bar, light reflecting plates secured to the bar at regular spaced intervals and extending from the upper to the lower edges of said plates. Substantial shaped impressions therein provide light-reflecting facets.
