Eight men from the Syracuse area took to South Shore and Maxwelton golf courses in Syracuse Monday in an effort to raise money for the Lakeland Youth Center. This year's recipient is Elaine Kloser, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jerome Kloser, Warsaw. WCEA president Dennis Allison presented a check to Elaine, who plans to attend Marian College in Indianapolis. 50 Years Ago July 20 1959 Rex Parker, a prominent south Kosciusko County dairy farmer, will leave with a group of 30 other farm leaders for a tour of parts of Europe and the Soviet Union. Parker, in partnership with his brother, Jay, operates a 510-acre dairy farm northwest of Silver Lake bordering on the lake itself. 75 Years Ago July 20 1934 The following idea was submitted by the Kosciusko County Home Economics Club: How To Dry A Sweater: To dry a sweater without stretching, after washing, place sweater between two thick towels on a table and roll with a rolling pin. Replace towels with dry ones and roll again until moisture is all out of sweater. Then it can be placed on a hanger and hung in air to finish drying. - Lottie Chase, Warsaw.
