Warsaw Boys Bowling Team 4th In State Finals

ANDERSON – Indiana High School Bowling has crowned new state champions. The finals were held Saturday at Championship Lanes in Anderson. Nearly 200 teams  in each division started the tournament with sectional competition, and 12 boys and 12 girls teams still had a chance at the state championship Saturday.

Mary Rose Grist, 91, formerly of North Manchester, died at 2:23 a.m. Feb. 3, 2018, in Wellbrooke of Wabash, Wabash. She was born Dec. 18, 1926, in Wabash County, to Jesse and Ella Freshour Harrison. She was married to Irvin W. Grist on Dec. 10, 1949. He died Sept. 13, 2009.

LCA To Play In Sectional Championship Game

GOSHEN – A runaway victory in the semifinals has Lakeland Christian Academy one more win from raising its first sectional trophy in girls basketball. The Lady Cougars (16-8) built leads of 25-3 and 37-10 at the first two quarter breaks Friday on the way to a 63-19 win against Hamilton (0-23). The championship game against Lakewood Park Christian (16-5) – a 39-33 winner against Fremont in Friday’s second semifinal – is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. today at Bethany Christian High School.

Lady Tigers Fall In Sectional Semifinal

DUNLAP – Coach Lenny Krebs is excited for what the future holds for the Warsaw Lady Tigers after his first season has concluded. Despite losing 38-35 to Elkhart Memorial Friday night in the Class 4A Sectional 4 semifinals at Concord High School’s McCuen Gymnasium, Krebs has established a culture for the team.
