After winning its first two games this season on the back of its defense, the Warsaw Tiger football team finally had the offensive success it was waiting for, steamrolling 41-7 past Northern Lakes Conference rival Plymouth in both teams’ NLC opener. Warsaw remains undefeated this season at 3-0, 1-0 in the NLC.

Warsaw Boys Win NLC Opener

Wawasee took the first step, but in the end it was Warsaw's varsity boys basketball team that got off on the right foot Friday. The visiting Warriors jumped out to a 13-6 lead in the first quarter, but with lack of execution, Wawasee scored just five points in the second and seven in the third.As Wawasee struggled, Warsaw took control and posted a 59-42 win. The 17-point victory ups the Tigers' overall season record to 5-1, while Wawasee falls to 3-3.The game was the Northern Lakes Conference opener for both teams.

Vikes Look To Stall Red Devils

The Vikings will face an experienced West Lafayette boys basketball team on the Red Devils' home court.The West Lafayette squad sports nine seniors, and they have 10 players that have split much of the game time this season. "We have 10 really good players," said West Lafayette coach Dave Wood."We have a lot of team depth.We'll probably have 10 guys in before the end of the first quarter.Of those 10 players who will come in in the first quarter, nine are seniors.
