Baker Youth May Move To West Market Location

Robert Murphy came before Warsaw City Council Monday to present Baker Youth Club's proposal to move its facilities to the old Endicott Church Furniture location on West Market Street. Murphy showed architectural projections for a new building at the location, and requested that the council prepare and submit an application for a $500,000 grant from the Indiana Office of Affairs to allow the Baker Youth Club the ability to move forward with its plans. "We need a half million dollars in the next four weeks," Murphy said."The money is the big concern in order for us to achieve this goal." Many attendants expressed their support of the Baker Youth Club and encouraged its move to the new location. Murphy said the desired location will greatly benefit the organization because of the large amount of children in the area and the fact that the proposed Kosciusko County Greenway could potentially neighbor the new property.
