Amy, a seventh-grader at Lakeview, won the school's geography bee Jan.29. 25 Years Ago February 22 1976 City Police Capt.Ted Ward has returned this weekend from a week-long school at the FBI Training Academy at Quantico, Va.The school sponsored by the FBI for local enforcement officers covered how to handle domestic disturbances. Ward says he hopes to set up training sessions here for other members of the Warsaw department in the near future to share the techniques he learned at the academy.
10 Years Ago December 11 1994 North Webster resident Larry Keim took advantage of recent warm weather Dec.3 to play some golf at the South Shore Golf Club.And the result was his first career hole-in-one. Construction on the 6,700-square-foot structure providing seating for 300 was completed late this summer.

Morgan, president of Zimmer-USA, will become a member of the board on Feb.1, filling a vacancy created by the retirement of Clyde Sells, Silver Lake.Sells is retiring effective Jan.31.

Hospital Trail Safety Editor, Times-Union: My husband and I took a walk tonight to the hospital trail behind KCH.We live on Harrison Street.I don't understand why they can't make a safety path that leads to the trail.There is all that open space that would be perfect for a walking path.They have put a path halfway but I don't understand why they don't finish it.I see so many people cut through the grass to get to the trail and it would make so much sense to just finish this path.

The name she submitted was "The SCF 469 Link."The chain link design symbolizes the linking of post offices and postal people as the links in the chain necessary to move the mail.
