10 Years Ago July 1 1993 Achievement awards were presented to 39 Hoosier 4-H champions representing 26 counties at the 75th annual 4-H Round-Up at Purdue University. Among the winners this year were Krista Bailey of Warsaw in food conservation and preservation and Ted Nixon of South Whitley in the achievement category. 25 Years Ago July 1 1978 ETNA GREEN - Terry Kaiser, 23, of Etna Green, and a graduate of Triton High School, is the new Miss Indiana. She is the first young woman from Kosciusko County to be selected to compete in the Miss America Pageant.

Tracy Rinker and Nancy Amos were the only two Warriors to qualify for state competition at the sectional last weekend.Swimming in the Elkhart Central pool, Wawasee finished fifth in sectional competition.

Roe will join William Reneker in the probation office and will primarily serve Kosciusko Circuit and Superior Courts with some work with Kosciusko County Court.

In recognition of her 4-H leadership of 25 years, the club presented Mrs.Elnora Cox with a pin.

Amy, a seventh-grader at Lakeview, won the school's geography bee Jan.29. 25 Years Ago February 22 1976 City Police Capt.Ted Ward has returned this weekend from a week-long school at the FBI Training Academy at Quantico, Va.The school sponsored by the FBI for local enforcement officers covered how to handle domestic disturbances. Ward says he hopes to set up training sessions here for other members of the Warsaw department in the near future to share the techniques he learned at the academy.
10 Years Ago December 11 1994 North Webster resident Larry Keim took advantage of recent warm weather Dec.3 to play some golf at the South Shore Golf Club.And the result was his first career hole-in-one.
