10 years agoA monument honoring General Tadeusz "Thaddeus" Kosciuszko, Revolutionary War hero, will be dedicated March 27 at the Kosciusko County Courthouse lawn on Main Street.
MILFORD – Since starting in August, the school resource officer pilot program in Milford School hasn’t led to any felony arrests and may not have diffused any clear threats to students.
Grace College is expanding its athletic programs to include esports. The program will be led in its inaugural season by head coach Andrew Palladino. The Lancers are the third Crossroads League school to announce an esports team and join a number of schools in the area fielding a competitive esports squad.
Grace’s track and field team continued its indoor season with the Indiana Wesleyan Invitational on Saturday. The Lancers set two school records and had an NAIA “A” qualifier in the indoor meet.
Grace’s women’s basketball team continued its hot start, defeating No. 21 Huntington 88-73 on Saturday. The Lady Lancers’ top scoring threats put on a sizzling performance. Vironnica Drake and Kamryn Hostetler each topped 20 points with Kyannah Stull right behind at 19.
After a strong showing in many of the distance races, the Warsaw girls track team won their 13th sectional in a row by scoring 134.5 points at Tuesday’s IHSAA Sectional at Fisher Field on the Warsaw campus.
MISHAWAKA – Over 100 minutes of soccer Thursday couldn’t separate the men’s teams from Grace College and Lawrence Tech University. The Lancers and Blue Devils settled for a 0-0 draw at a neutral-site tournament game, hosted by Bethel College. The teams combined for 31 shots, including 15 on frame.
