Power Outage Affects 960 In Winona, Warsaw

Winona Lake and parts of Warsaw experienced a power outage early this morning, said Kim Lahman, spokeswoman for NIPSCO. The outage, caused by equipment failure, began at 2:30 a.m.and lasted until 6:30 a.m.Approximately 960 customers were affected, Lahman said. Power has been restored, and all operations should be back to normal, she said.

Thar She Blows!

Construction crews at the Warsaw Library broke the new water main that was installed last week. The break, which occurred around 9 a.m. today, caused the library to be without water until repairs were made. The Kosciusko County Health Department has notified the city of Warsaw Parks Department that tests for E.coli have come back at unsafe levels, and their recommendation is that Center Lake Beach is to be closed immediately.
