County Jail Bookings The following people were preliminarily charged and booked into the Kosciusko County Jail: • 12:01 p.m. Tuesday – Jason Michael Thorn, 32, of 206 E. Lynwood Drive, #2, Warsaw, arrested for possession of meth,  possession of a syringe for a legend drug and resisting law enforcement. Bond: $5,250. • 3:41 p.m. Tuesday – Sheena Marie Spears, 27, of 604 E. Sycamore St., #143, Silver Lake, arrested for theft. Bond: $600. • 3:50 p.m. Tuesday – Alicia Jane Scott, 39, homeless, Warsaw, arrested for failure to appear. No bond set. • 9:46 p.m. Tuesday – Austin Lee Perkins, 32, of 7094 E. CR 100E, Claypool, arrested for operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated, driving while suspended, refusal to submit to a chemical test and failure to appear. Bond: $700. • 9:58 p.m. Tuesday – Marie Lynn Hurley, 29, of 603 N.?Parker St., Warsaw, arrested for public intoxicated. Bond: $400. • 12:44 a.m. today – Brooks Richard Watkins, 36, of 602 N. Ellsworth St., Warsaw, arrested for failure to appear. Bond: $157.  • 1:10 a.m. today – Zachary Austin Lee Evans, 24, of 501 Catch St., North Manchester, arrested for failure to appear. Bond: $500.  • 1:15 a.m. today – Michael Shawn Combs, 28, Wabash, arrested for failure to appear. Bond: $257.56. Property Damage Accidents • 5:11 p.m. Tuesday – Intersection of U.S. 30 and East Center Street, Warsaw. Two-vehicle collision. Drivers: Delight Rushlow, 40, Boston Street, Syracuse; Erica Hudson, 45, Jean Street, Winona Lake. Damage: $1,000 to $2,500. Warsaw Police Department investigated. • 5:45 p.m. Tuesday – Intersection of East Center and South Scott streets, Warsaw. Hit-skip. Driver remaining: Brenda Roby, 61, Shawnee Drive, Warsaw.  Damage: $1,000 to $2,500. WPD. Incidents  • 11 a.m. Tuesday – A person reported a theft from a motor vehicle in the 100 block of Lydia Drive, Warsaw. WPD. • 7:23 p.m. Tuesday – A person reported a break-in and theft of power tools in the 600 block of Normandy Lane, Warsaw. WPD.

County Jail Bookings  The following people were preliminarily charged and booked into the Kosciusko County Jail.  • 9:17 a.m. Monday – Kenyon Dwight Harris, 30, of 340 E. Levi Lee Road, #209, Warsaw, arrested on four counts of failure to appear and operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated. Bond: $7,382 • 10:14 a.m. Monday – Stephanie Lynn Cleveland, 29, of 334 E. CR 1250N, Milford, arrested for theft. Bond: $10,500.  • 11:14 a.m. Monday – Richard Lamars Cole, 54, Fort Wayne, arrested for failure to appear. No bond set. • 12:20 p.m. Monday – Stephanie Marie Weeks, 29, Osceola, arrested for failure to appear. Bond: $528.  • 12:34 p.m. Monday – Ronald Thomas Miller, 54, Palos Park, Ill., arrested for fraud, corrupt business influence, money laundering and two counts of theft. Bond: $75,250. 

Orbans Surrender To Face Charges

Richard D.Orban, 47, and Janet Lee Orban, 47, both of 165 Deerwood Court, Warsaw, surrendered to authorities Sunday evening and were booked into the Kosciusko County Jail in connection with allegations of corruption in business. The Orbans are each charged with 10 felony counts, including corrupt business influence, perjury, theft and failure to remit sales tax.Mr.Orban is a partner in Carpet Express at West Levi Lee Road and Ind.15N, Warsaw, where Mrs.Orban was employed as the bookkeeper. Mr.Orban also is charged with fraud in connection with an alleged false insurance claim. Police and a Department of Justice investigator began looking into the matter after receiving a complaint from the other partner in Carpet Express.The business currently is in receivership after Orban filed a petition for the partnership to be dissolved. Both of the Orbans posted bond of $5,000 and were released from custody.

Charges Filed In Robbery At Pharmacy

Charges have been filed in Kosciusko Superior Court I against the woman accused of robbing Horizon Pharmacy in downtown Warsaw. Cheryl Ann Lang, 39, of 412 N.Columbia St., Warsaw, is charged with robbery with force and attempted theft, both Class C felonies.A warrant was issued, but Lang has not yet been arrested. At the time Lang was apprehended in the former Brennan's Pharmacy on Market Street, officials decided not to arrest her because of ongoing medical problems.The warrant will be served when Lang's health has improved. Lang is believed to have robbed the business on Memorial Day and was caught inside the store during an attempted robbery a week later.She was wearing a trash bag over her clothing and acted as if she had a gun underneath it.She had a nylon stocking over her face when she came in and demanded drugs.

Guns Stolen From Home Of Conservation Officer

PIERCETON - Anyone with information about a Wednesday residential burglary is asked to contact the Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department. The break-in occurred at the John and Kathy Sullivan residence on South CR 600E, Pierceton, and resulted in the theft of 10 guns, including John Sullivan's service revolver.Sullivan is a lieutenant with the Indiana Conservation Department. John Sullivan was out of town when the burglary took place and Kathy Sullivan discovered the break-in when she returned home shortly before 4 p.m.The break-in is believed to have occurred sometime between 8:30 a.m.and 3 p.m. Most of the guns were taken from a gun cabinet, while one was removed from a bedroom. No other items are believed missing. Anyone who may have noticed anything unusual around the Sullivan residence or anyone with information regarding the burglary is asked to call the KCSD at 267-5667.
