Culver Academy appears as if it will be able to dispute the adage in 2020, and Tippecanoe Valley wound up in no position Friday night to argue otherwise about the Eagles. With junior Jimmy Pisani and sophomore Cooper Farrall splitting QB duties, Culver blanked the Vikings 16-0 in each team’s season opener at Smith-Bibler Memorial Field.
Tigers Win Opener Over Vikings
The Warsaw Tigers don’t circle certain games beyond the first week. They strive to go 1-0 each Friday night. Huntington North put forth an effort that exploited a special teams miscue, exploited some early tackling weaknesses, and took advantage of opportunities despite a huge disparity in time of possession. However, the Tigers offense continued its brutal efficiency from last year, powered by Aaron Greene’s three rushing touchdowns of 22, 70 and 54 yards to defeat their hosts 42-35.
