A quick note of gratitude for outgoing Sheriff Rocky Goshert:  During his campaign for the Republican nomination this spring, Sheriff Goshert ran on, among other things, the implementation of a Jail Chemical Addiction Program in the Kosciusko County Jail, so that inmates could receive drug treatment while awaiting the disposition of their cases.

I was breaking in to cars to support my heroin/meth habit. I kept my drug use a secret for three and a half years from family and close friends; or at least I thought I was keeping a secret.

High temperatures on Wednesday couldn’t detour 66 local students from lining up for about an hour outside of the Gateway Education Center in hopes of  being chosen as an extra in an independent  film being produced in the area.
