Manchester Soccer Squads Bounce Back

The ball didn’t bounce their way in terms of a championship, but Manchester High School’s varsity boys and girls soccer teams certainly bounced back Saturday afternoon. Hosting the annual Manchester Invite, the Lady Squires and Squires lost their opening-round games to top notch teams but came back with wins in the consolation round behind strong second-half performances.

Tigers Fall To Michigan City In Home Opener

Warsaw Tiger senior quarterback Aaron Green tossed a 34-yard touchdown pass to Patrick Zollinger erasing visiting Michigan City’s 14-0 lead with 4:25 left in the first half. The fans at Fisher Field were energized by the comeback. However, the visiting Silver Wolves silenced the crowd sixteen seconds later with a 64-yard touchdown run by Kaydarious Jones; a jet sweep to regain a lead it would never relinquish. Warsaw experienced its first loss of the season 41-21 Friday night.
