- Restaurants - Hickory Creek - Hickory Creek Residents - KEMRAD - March Madness Restaurants Editor, Times-Union: I'm writing about our family restaurants in Warsaw, we have about none to speak of.Why can't we have a restaurant like a Denney's come to our town of Warsaw? We have several nice restaurants, but they are so expensive you can't go to them unless it is a special occasion. Warsaw is full of mostly fast food.Sometimes you would enjoy just having a nice breakfast or a nice dinner without having to pay through the nose. We also miss the American Table so much. The Boathouse is a wonderful place to eat, but again, it's too expensive unless it is for a special night out.I hope they plan to re-open soon.

No One Stands On Principle

There are lots of people these days who say character isn't really all that critical. They say that a few character flaws, no matter what they are, don't really affect a person's ability to lead.I think that had a lot to do with the way the election went last Tuesday. Generally, people showed that they were tired of the sanctimonious Republicans picking on Bill Clinton. They showed that they wanted Congress to get on with the business of the nation - whatever that is - and leave Bill Clinton alone. This is troubling to me. I think the Republicans pretty much botched this whole impeachment proceeding from the beginning. And now they're flat out looking like fools. It wasn't all too long ago that we were hearing the phrase "constitutional crisis."The Republicans were talking about how grave this matter was and how it was one of the most important undertakings in history. The judiciary committee's work would be long and arduous.

2019-20 Lancers Poised For First Year Under Moore

For the first time in 42 years, someone new will be leading Grace’s men’s basketball team. Scott Moore will handle his first game as head coach of the Lancers on Friday, taking the reins from retired NAIA Hall of Famer Jim Kessler. Moore was grateful for the lessons learned under Kessler’s tutelage and looked forward to imprinting his own style at the helm of the program. “Learning how to lead is a lifelong process. I’ve been coaching people for a long time, and that’s what this is,” Moore said. “You’re teaching basketball but ultimately coaching people. Coach [Kessler] taught us that you have to love your players first. The foundation of this program isn’t changing from that.”
