Lady Lancers Close Out Season With 64-63 Win Over Southwestern Christian

Grace women’s basketball team wrapped up the 2017 NCCAA National Championships with a dramatic 64-63 win over Southwestern Christian on Friday. The win gave the Lady Lancers (17-19) fifth place in the national tournament, the team’s second-best finish in program history and best since 2012. Grace’s 17 wins were also the team’s fourth-most victories for a single season.

Defense Wins The Day For Lady Lancers Volleyball Team

On a night when Grace’s attack was off its usual form, the Lady Lancers’ volleyball team was propelled by defense. Grace held Spring Arbor to a team hitting percentage of .083 en route to a 3-1 victory on Friday at the Manahan Orthopaedic Capital Center. The Lady Lancers (12-16, 6-8 Crossroads League) had four players with double-digit digs, led by Caylie Teel’s 28 digs, and five players recorded a block point in the match.
